limited repress of the first release! played by raresh for six years nervmusic has been the instigator of actions that have brought a circle of techno culture fans together to form an independent movement in moscow s nightlife. all along the way, the members of nervmusic were searching for a unique sound that eventually necessitated becoming a music label. the starting point of the nervmusic label will be karen ep, a release by easy changes (foundsound, stock5), a techno act from moscow and core members of nervmusic since the beginning. with a remix by cabanne (minibar, hello?repeat, perlon), the legendary french techno producer who crafted a special take on the track gneedos. further development of nervmusic will be a contiuous research in avant garde techno sounds. nervmusic aims to infuse the work of new artists with the contributions of legendary producers.

a side : klaaar when you hear about klaaar, you’d probably assume it has something to do with samples and colourful grooves. on a side, klaaar, that has featured on all the previous label releases, is playing with funky vocal cuts on « contemplative action », and spoken words on « definition is », with heart warming beats on each track. b side : ortellaknown especially for his prim-and- proper take on dirty deep house with releases on rutilance and his own imprint mad in lyon, ortella have been delivering consistently great levels of house, and strikes once again on the b-side with his very special rough and deep sound signature. track titles « shut up and listen to deep house » and « bigmalyon » says it all. shaped for the floor

martin enke aka lake people returns to permanent vacation with his first original material since his debut album “purposely uncertain field“. the three tracks on the “every place you go“ ep stay true to the unmistakable signature sound of lake people from the first beat to the last breath. it is also testament to how far martin has built and refined his own sound universe. cinematic soundscapes and hypnotic ambience meet razor sharp beats that will keep you on the right track. your soundtrack for a romantic road trip through post-apocalyptic wasteland and abandoned cities.

here comes another release by echologist aka brendon moeller. brendon did several releases over the year and here comes the next bomb!! these tracks were recorded in autumn of 2016 in brendon’s home studio that is conveniently located in the basement of his home in upstate new york. the tracks were made using a combination of hardware and software. the protocol, well, sync all machines via midi and cv and then jam. once a jam seems to take on a form he multitrack record all elements in ableton and then create a final arrangement and mix down.

the first release from sign bit zero features two powerful edits from mick wills. giving new life to the track, ‘center’ by ale mania, a san diego based band, the cuts here contain wholly new structures with a greater focus on the oppressive yet powerful vocal parts and the uplifting string section. by extending the (acoustic) drum track and giving it the groove and strength we have come to associate with his edits, mick has created for us a unique take on the new wave / dark wave genres – ideal for any dj who wants to showcase this sound in a club-focussed context. ‘center’ originally appeared on the ep, ‘a, who sings that beat?’ on volar records and was written by andrew montoya, who has kindly granted us the permission to present this record to you all.

traditional folk music from belgium, performed by swedish youngsters, met by art music with inspiration from the dj-culture. during the fall of 2015, guf (gävleborgs ungdoms folkband) released an album called guf4life where one of its songs got the dj & composer slim vic to react. the rain drenched sounds in the original composition worked as the fundament for two different musical journeys, signed by slim vic. part 1, is a varying composition that take the listener in and out of club music, ambient and the original tracks folk music. part 2, is a very dystopic world of sounds clearly on the border of art music.

fresh, genre bending interpretations from barac (romania) and dbridge (uk). these two inspiring producers provide their modern touch to the contemporary dancefloor continuum: dbridge offers an up-to-date hybrid that straddles the line between techno and breakbeat, while baracs extended mix is a deep and hypnotic journey through space. dbridge represents a milestone when it comes to uk dance music. being part of the legendary drum and bass group bad company in the late 90s, running his extensive label exit records, and regularly releasing on boddikas nonplus, metalheadz, as well as r&s, he has gained an enviable reputation as a specialist with a modern take on techno and breakbeat variations.

technosoul .03 comes from blazej malinowski, who has previously released on swedish phorma and canadian silent season amongst others. “mika” and “open closed open” might serve as blazej s sound signature – deeply rooted, hypnotic techno with a trance edge, which works both on the dancefloor and in comfort of one s home. remix number one comes from the legendary british dj and producer steve bicknell, whose take on “mika” is raw and very dense at once – it serves as the most brutal piece of music on the release. remix number two comes from “the mad ukrainian” stanislav tolkachev, whose vision strikes as a real surprise. instead of his usual beats stampede, he has provided the record with a beautiful, ethereal offbeat techno: this won t probably work as a peak time monster, but with a proper audience, it will have a mesmerizing effect!

what happens when you take a track by a british power trio heavily influenced by blues and psychedelia, and get a master of wayward, left-of-centre balearica to remix it? that’s the premise behind claremont 56’s latest vinyl outing, which features magic feet recordings boss craig bratley delivering a pair of druggy, spaced-out interpretations of “better man”, one of the more laidback outings from fast-rising rock combo bella figura.

austrian shooting star project niereich was founded in 2010. as dj/live act, producer and label co-owner of audio stimulation recordings he serves as a true multi-purpose weapon. while playing at the biggest in- and outdoor events and his releases being supported by the biggest dj s across the globe, he undoubtedly set his mark on the international dance scene. niereich is known to be rocking as there s no tomorrow. this urban format ep is packed with techno bliss and consists of 3 strong, dark and deep tracks.

taking a brief detour from his normal abrasive distorted sound, pinion showcases his broad spectrum as an artist with the desire ep. the title track, desire (half measure),starts out of the gate with a thunderous half beat 808 coupled with a swinging hihat pattern that slowly works ethereal vocal slices into the forefront, accompanied with a modulating synth pad that evolves into a defining melody. the sister track, desire (full measure), has very similar characteristics as the original, but allowing a little more edge for the dancefloor to build on. the third original track, recollection shifts gears quite drastically with a 135 bpm stormer with enough soul and melody to make the uncharacteristically fast tempo seem inconsequential. last, comes kyle geiger on remix duties to round out the ep with a housier take on desire, but still enough bite to fit nicely into any techno set.

known for his contributions for lumberjacks in hell, seven limited or black key records, giovanni is a talented musician/dj from south italy, producing music for over a decade now. for his faces records debut, gio is going deep, straight back to his latin/jazz roots with la dame et le conga and what u feel like. while paying tribute to the old ny/garage sound on tell you what i do cherry on the top, detroit legend rick wade offers a new take on the title track, crafting a magnificent deep mix of la dame et le conga recommended to every deep house fans and children of the drum

tt/dok is kenton slash demons third ep on future classic. the two track ep is set to hold down the same amount of anticipation and support of precious offerings of the danish duo. this release affirms again the strength of kenton slash demons organic and futuristic sound, and their obvious skills take their productions further than the typical frame and dramaturgy of a club track. they want to create soundtracks for clubs as well as music that you can listen to on your home stereo, thus blurring the space between the public and private experience. the vinyl release includes a download code.

smeur continues it’s journey into melodic trippy house. the third release features two artists take on a track from the same starting point. both sides are based on the same set of samples. but while side a reminisces early orbital in its theme side b is a somber excursion into another subterranean world. both tracks will keep the floor interested with it’s different approach to house music.

a industrial callous, caustic and fervently cruel ep. contort yourself has once again gathered the best and boldest from past and present for its fourth ep. to begin with we have the grimacing visage of volition immanent, an intense live act made up of parrish smith and mark van de maat (knekelhuis). behind rawkish distortion, splintered beats and acrid bars screams a boiled anger, a track spitting on the divides of punk and electronics. nastiness is taken up a notch as noise ne er-do-wells zombies under stress take over. static is bent and doubled across thick chords and collapsed clap in the 1986 -maan zal zijn before the raw and raging battery of in onze tijd. l.i.e.s. regular svengalisghost grapples with maan zal zijn, channelling the originals rage into a mechanical monster. the 12inch is bookended with bite as mark forshaw (tabernacle/berceuse heroique) closes with the tortured and torrential thump of submission.

this time we dive into lo-fi area, introducing precipitation, vancouver based artist who delivers 4 cuts of sweet sounding sound sculptures, recorded live in all-or-nothing, single take approach with minimalistic setup, showing real commitment and heart for the less is more process, and a lot of feel for handling harmonies, melodies and moods. all music written and produced by zefan sramek 2015. dedicated to j.l.
